2016, during the severe crisis in my country's history, I had to take on a fourth job to finance my university education and cover my expenses. Although I am now into digital marketing, my initial aspiration was to become a journalist. Specifically, one covering economics.
My dream? As an economic journalist, I aimed to shed light on the causes of the triple-digit inflation in Venezuela and explore the efforts to address the financial crisis that has inflicted significant hardship on the Venezuelans.
Back then, I had my heart set on pursuing a career in journalism, specifically reporting on economic news. I had this lofty goal of hosting a show like CNN Money one day (lol). However, as time passed, my circumstances changed considerably. Despite my best efforts to secure employment through job applications and emails, I was met with radio silence.
Surprisingly, I eventually received an offer to write about Bitcoin, even though I was only a third-semester student with minimal journalism experience and I had never even heard of Bitcoin before. I decided to take on the challenge and delve into the digital currency world. This marked the beginning of my journey into Bitcoin's rabbit hole.
Have you ever found yourself going down a rabbit hole? This expression describes when someone spends a significant amount of time pursuing something, only to end up with even more questions and no clear solution.
A prime example is when you start Googling something and end up with dozens of tabs open on Wikipedia, feeling overwhelmed and unsure of what you actually understand. I experienced this when trying to learn about Bitcoin.
